FromDr. Farhad MoghimehfarFounder and CEONorovan Tourism Digital Marketing
Dear Edward,
Thank you for the opportunity to present this platform plan for the modernization and future development of First Express Travel’s digital presence.
Based on our discussions and the direction shared by you, we understand that First Express Travel is evaluating more than a conventional website redesign. The company is considering how to modernize its online presence, support its new Tour Division, better serve Western customers, integrate a professional booking management system such as Zaui or Checkfront, and centralize bookings from the website and multiple OTA channels.
For this reason, Norovan’s recommended approach is to design the new digital platform as a scalable business system, not only as a marketing website. The platform should support tour presentation, direct bookings, OTA workflow alignment, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) growth, customer inquiries, multilingual content, analytics, and future operational expansion.
In addition to the core website and booking platform requirements, this plan also includes optional AI-supported capabilities in the higher-level packages. These include AI Support, a RAG-based (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) knowledge base, chatbot capabilities, and agentic workflow planning. Their purpose is to help reduce repetitive customer support workload, improve response efficiency, and create a more scalable internal operating model. A dedicated explanatory section is included later in this document to clarify how these technologies can support First Express Travel in practical business terms.
To support different levels of scope, operational readiness, and future scalability, Norovan has prepared three service package options:
Foundation Travel Platform
Growth Tour Operator Platform
Enterprise Travel Company Platform

Project Understanding
First Express Travel is at a key stage of digital development. The company already has an established market presence, travel products, customer demand, and operational experience. However, the current website needs to better support the company's future direction as a travel company and tour operator.
Based on the project discussion, the main business needs are:
01
A modernized website that presents First Express Travel more professionally.
02
A stronger digital presence for the new Tour Division.
03
A better experience for Western customers.
04
A clearer structure for tours, destinations, categories, and booking paths.
05
Integration planning for a professional booking system such as Zaui, Checkfront, or a similar platform.
06
OTA workflow alignment so bookings from the website and external channels can be managed more efficiently.
07
A more scalable and customized Content Management System (CMS), supported by Norovanʼs programming capability to create flexible tour-management features beyond the limitations of standard templates.
08
Better search engine optimization structure, migration planning, and monthly SEO reporting.
09
Future readiness for multilingual content, analytics, partner workflows, and AI-supported customer service.
Page 04 · Strategy
Norovan's Recommended Direction
Norovan recommends developing the future website as a scalable travel platform rather than only a promotional website.
A promotional website mainly presents information. A travel platform should go further. It should help customers discover tours, compare options, understand details, submit inquiries, move toward booking, and receive support more efficiently.
For First Express Travel, the platform should connect three important business areas:
1
Customer Experience
The website should make it easier for customers to understand what First Express Travel offers, explore tours, trust the company, and take the next step. This includes stronger tour pages, clearer navigation, better calls to action, improved mobile experience, and a more professional presentation for Western customers.
2
Booking System and OTA Alignment
The platform should be prepared for integration with the selected booking system, such as Zaui, Checkfront, or a similar platform.
Norovan does not create or operate OTA platforms. The goal is to align the website and booking workflow with OTA-connected booking systems so that direct website bookings and OTA bookings can be managed more efficiently through the selected platform.
This direction can help reduce manual work, booking confusion, duplicated inventory, overbooking risk, and operational inconsistency.
3
Long-Term Digital Growth
The platform should be built with future growth in mind. This includes search engine optimization expansion, destination landing pages, multilingual content, analytics, seasonal campaigns, partner workflows, marketplace possibilities, and AI-supported customer service capabilities in the higher-level packages.
Page 05 · Strategy
Core Project Objectives
The proposed platform should be designed to achieve the following objectives:
01
Modernize the Digital Presence
Redesign the website with a professional, modern, and trustworthy appearance that reflects First Express Travel's position as an established travel company and tour operator.
02
Improve Tour Presentation
Create a stronger tour catalog structure with clear tour detail pages, including itinerary, highlights, inclusions, exclusions, pricing, pickup information, availability, policies, and booking calls to action.
03
Support Booking System Integration
Prepare the website structure for integration with a professional booking platform such as Zaui, Checkfront, or a similar system, depending on the company's final operational decision.
04
Align Direct Website Bookings with OTA-Connected Channels
Support OTA-related planning in all package levels through the selected booking platform. The Foundation package includes OTA integration alignment through the selected booking platform, the Growth package includes deeper OTA integration planning and channel workflow mapping, and the Enterprise package includes advanced OTA centralization consultation, channel analytics, partner workflow planning, and long-term channel optimization.
05
Protect and Improve SEO Performance
Plan the redevelopment carefully to protect existing search engine optimization value, improve site structure, support destination and tour category visibility, and provide monthly SEO reports after launch.
06
Strengthen Western-Market Positioning
Improve the website messaging, content structure, visual presentation, and user journey for Western customers, especially in relation to the companyʼs new Tour Division. Norovanʼs role in this area is focused on tourism-market positioning, SEO visibility, website content direction, and digital customer experience. Full brand identity development, logo redesign, brand book creation, and large-scale creative branding campaigns are not included unless separately scoped.
07
Build a Customized and Scalable CMS
Develop a customized and scalable Content Management System (CMS) that allows the First Express Travel team to manage tours, categories, destinations, seasonal content, and future pages more efficiently. Norovanʼs programming capability allows the CMS to be structured around the companyʼs operational needs instead of being limited to generic templates.
08
Prepare for AI-Supported Service Efficiency
In the higher-level packages, introduce AI Support, chatbot planning, RAG knowledge base capabilities, and agentic workflow planning to help reduce repetitive customer support tasks and improve internal efficiency. A detailed explanation of these capabilities is provided later in the document.
Norovan Proposal

01
AI Support & Chatbot Capabilities
12 sample customer questions · Before human escalation
An AI support assistant or chatbot can help answer common customer questions before the customer needs to contact a staff member.
For a travel company and tour operator, many customer questions are repetitive. Customers often ask about tour availability, pickup locations, itinerary details, cancellation policies, booking steps, language options, private tours, family suitability, and what is included or excluded.
An AI support assistant can help with questions such as:
Which tour is suitable for my travel dates? What is included in this tour? What is not included in this tour?Where is the pickup location? What is the cancellation policy? What language is the tour operated in?Is this tour suitable for families, seniors, or first-time visitors? What should I bring? How do I book? Can I request a private tour? What is the difference between two similar tours?Which tour is better for a short visit to Vancouver or Western Canada?
This can help customers receive faster answers, reduce repetitive support inquiries, and allow the support team to focus on higher-value communication, complex requests, and sales opportunities.
RAG stands for Retrieval-Augmented Generation. In practical terms, it means the AI assistant can answer questions based on First Express Travel's approved information instead of relying only on general AI knowledge.
A RAG-based knowledge base can be connected to approved business information such as:
01Tour descriptions02Tour itineraries03Pickup locations04Pricing rules05Booking instructions06Cancellation policies07Frequently asked questions08Seasonal tour notes09Private tour guidelines10Website content11Internal staff guidelines12Customer support scripts13Booking-related documentation14Tour Division information
This makes the AI assistant more useful and more aligned with the company's actual information.
For example, instead of giving a general answer about a destination, the assistant can retrieve information from First Express Travel's own tour content, policies, and support documents. This helps improve accuracy, consistency, and customer trust.
03
Agentic Workflow Capabilities
10 workflow capabilities · Multi-step with human review
Agentic workflows allow AI to support multi-step tasks instead of only answering simple questions.
A regular chatbot answers a question. An agentic workflow can guide a customer or staff member through a process.
For First Express Travel, agentic workflow capabilities can support tasks such as:
01Asking follow-up questions about travel dates, group size, interests, language preference, and budget.
02Recommending suitable tours based on customer needs.
03Collecting customer inquiry details before passing them to the support or sales team.
04Drafting a private tour inquiry summary for staff review.
05Preparing a preliminary custom itinerary draft for internal review.
06Summarizing customer needs for the sales team.
07Guiding customers to the correct tour page or booking path.
08Helping staff search internal tour information quickly.
09Preparing draft multilingual replies for staff review.
10Identifying when a human team member should take over the conversation.
The goal is to create a more efficient support and sales workflow while keeping human review and decision-making in place for sensitive, complex, or high-value customer requests.
04
Package 3 AI Scope Limitation
10 defined use case examples · Final selection confirmed before implementation
Because AI Support, RAG systems, and agentic workflows can expand into many different business areas, Package 3 includes up to 10 defined AI-supported use cases.
These 10 use cases may include a combination of customer-facing, staff-facing, RAG-based, or workflow-based capabilities.
Examples may include:
01Customer-facing FAQ chatbot
02Tour recommendation assistant
03Tour information retrieval through RAG
04Pickup location and policy assistant
05Private tour inquiry collection workflow
06Custom itinerary draft workflow
07Booking guidance workflow
08Multilingual customer response workflow
09Staff-facing internal knowledge search
10Support handoff and inquiry summary workflow
The final 10 use cases will be selected and confirmed with First Express Travel before implementation.
Any additional AI agents, RAG workflows, automation flows, integrations, or advanced AI capabilities beyond the 10 included use cases can be scoped separately.

01Payment-related questions
02Refund or cancellation disputes
03Complex booking changes
04Complaints
05Sensitive customer situations
06Legal or policy-sensitive matters
07High-value private tour requests
08Any answer that requires final business approval
07
Token & AI Usage Cost Responsibility
4 responsibility areas
01
Usage-based fees
AI systems may require usage-based costs. These can include token usage, AI API fees, large language model usage fees, vector database costs, AI hosting resources, or third-party AI platform fees.
02
Platform owner
These usage-based costs are the responsibility of First Express Travel as the platform owner.
03
Fixed scope vs ongoing
Norovan can provide planning, architecture, implementation, and integration within the agreed project scope. However, ongoing token consumption, AI API fees, and usage-based infrastructure costs are not included in the fixed project fees unless separately agreed in writing.
04
Managed accounts
If Norovan manages any AI service accounts on behalf of First Express Travel, the related usage costs can be billed separately based on the selected tools, usage level, and agreed management structure.
08
Recommended First-Stage AI Approach
7 first-stage use cases
For a practical first stage, Norovan recommends starting with controlled and high-value AI use cases:
01
FAQ-based customer support
02
Tour information retrieval
03
Booking guidance
04
Pickup and policy questions
05
Private tour inquiry collection
06
Staff-facing internal knowledge search
07
Draft reply assistance for customer inquiries
Proposed Next Steps
Discovery & Strategy Session
We recommend starting with a discovery and strategy session to confirm the following 10 points:
01
Whether First Express Travel should rebuild the existing website or create a dedicated platform for the new Tour Division.
02
Whether Zaui, Checkfront, or another booking solution is the best operational fit.
03
Which tour products, destinations, and customer segments should be prioritized.
04
What level of OTA centralization is required.
05
What content should be migrated, rewritten, retired, or reorganized.
06
What level of AI chatbot, RAG knowledge base, and agentic workflow capability is appropriate.
07
Which customer support tasks are repetitive enough to be supported by AI.
08
Which knowledge sources should be included in the AI knowledge base.
09
What governance, escalation, and human-review rules should be applied to AI responses.
10
Which package best matches the company's timeline, budget, and long-term goals.
